About actually.insure
actually.insure is an insurance review platform that finds coverage gaps, overlaps and overspending for contractors, restaurants, trucking companies and other US small businesses, for free.
Give every small business the kind of insurance review that big companies pay for, free.
No small business should find out what it isn't covered for after a claim.
What actually.insure does
Business risk profile
Before you share anything, we build a picture of how your business actually runs from public records. A few quick questions fill in what public data can't show, like headcount, vehicles and the work you take on.
Insurance checkup
We read every policy you hold and compare it with that profile. You see what's covered, what overlaps, what's missing and where you may be overpaying, and how confident we are in each finding.
Introductions to licensed brokers
If you want help acting on your findings, we can introduce you to an independent, licensed commercial broker. The broker, not actually.insure, handles any quotes or changes to your coverage. They're only involved if you ask.
What makes actually.insure different
The checkup is free
Most coverage reviews either cost money or lead straight into a sales pitch. Our checkup costs nothing. If we ever start charging, or start earning from partner brokers, we'll tell you clearly before it applies to you.
We're independent
We don't sell insurance and we earn nothing on your premium. A commission-based broker typically earns 10–20% of what you pay, so they're not the neutral person to tell you you're overpaying.
It starts from your business, not a form
We learn how you really operate before reading your policies. That's how we catch gaps like a carpentry company that has started roofing, or a truck that never made it onto the auto policy.
You keep the report
Your checkup report is yours. Act on it yourself, take it to your current broker, or ask us for help. There's no lock-in and no contract.
Brokers only when you ask
Partner brokers join only at your request. If you buy coverage through one, they're paid the standard commission from the insurer, and we tell you that before you decide.
